That's right, it's once again National Pepperoni Pizza Day! I personally celebrated at lunch with a huge Sicilian Slice.

I dined on this monster slice at Pizza Ponte, located at Disney Springs. The slice was perfect as always, and of course hit the spot. Did you get a chance to celebrate National Pepperoni Pizza Day this year? 

You still have time, or you can always celebrate later. In my book, it's always Pepperoni Pizza Day somewhere.

I've been on the hunt for new bar soaps to use in the shower lately, and the road traveled has led me to several old school soaps. I decided to give the two oldest soaps that I remember from my childhood, a side by side comparison to see how they hold up against one another. Perhaps the the lack of suds equates into the soap not breaking down as fast. The reason I lean towards that reasoning, is because my bar of Irish Spring stood up to daily showering (sometimes twice a day) for 10 days. Discontinued Hostess and Tastykake Cherry Sweet Rolls

In this blog post, I break down what happened with these beloved snack cakes that generations have come to love, are no longer available for purchase, and possible substitutions. The Hostess Sweet Roll Remember these rolls? Well I sure do! In fact, they were a big part of my childhood growing up. My absolute favorite was the Cherry Sweet Rolls, but my parents preferred the Cinnamon Rolls, so that's what they bought 90% of the time. Mind you, I would never complain about eating the cinnamon rolls if they were in front of me. I remember my Mom putting these out for people she would invite over for coffee, or for visitors after dinner. On weekends, my Dad would get up early to buy a newspaper, and would bring these home for us as a snack before breakfast. That was a weekend tradition I carried on after I started my own family.
