That's right, it's once again National Pepperoni Pizza Day! I personally celebrated at lunch with a huge Sicilian Slice.

I dined on this monster slice at Pizza Ponte, located at Disney Springs. The slice was perfect as always, and of course hit the spot. Did you get a chance to celebrate National Pepperoni Pizza Day this year? 

You still have time, or you can always celebrate later. In my book, it's always Pepperoni Pizza Day somewhere.

I’ve owned a lot of cars in my life and I mean a lot. Just about every make and model you can imagine. Some were terrible, some were great, and a few were somewhere in between. RIP Hostess Raspberry Filled Powdered Donuts — A Nostalgic Favorite

I wrote an article close to a decade ago, to share my dismay with Hostess for discontinuing their Raspberry Filled Donuts. That article was still getting an unreal amount of traffic and interaction to this very day. In fact, no other article I have written has brought the amount of traffic to 'The Retro Dad' that this one has. It's still a subject that lots of folks are interested in, so I have dusted off the article and updated it for the snack cake loving masses in 2023. Enjoy.. RETRO HUNT! My search for the classic 'Bic Clic' pen

I've been on the hunt lately for a decent writing pen to use at my job. I use a pen all day long and the current pens at my disposal just don't cut it. Here's what I require in a writing utensil.. DURABILITY. A pen that stands up to everyday use and abuse. DEPENDABILITY. Long lasting, with a point that writes clearly and nicely. FUNCTIONALITY. No removable cap. A pen that securely stays put in my front shirt pocket. AFFORDABILITY. Can I have it all at a decent price? I went to several stores and found absolutely nothing that fit the bill. I found a few pens that came close, but they had gel ink which I can't stand. Finally it struck me. My go-to pen for decades was the Bic Clic. However, I hadn't used or seen one for sale in at least 15 years. I knew these old pens would be perfect for my needs at home, work, etc., so my hunt began.
