Nintendo Training Video From 1991

I stumbled upon this old training video on 'the YouTube' that was made in 1991, teaching retail workers how to handle customers with defective Nintendo products.   I got a wee bit excited at the six minute mark, when I recognized Grant Goodeve from the 70s/80s sitcom 'Eight is Enough'.  Geez.. I'm getting old.

I've been on the hunt lately for a decent writing pen to use at my job. I use a pen all day long and the current pens at my disposal just don't cut it. Here's what I require in a writing utensil.. DURABILITY. A pen that stands up to everyday use and abuse. DEPENDABILITY. Long lasting, with a point that writes clearly and nicely. FUNCTIONALITY. No removable cap. Discontinued Hostess and Tastykake Cherry Sweet Rolls

In this blog post, I break down what happened with these beloved snack cakes that generations have come to love, are no longer available for purchase, and possible substitutions. The Hostess Sweet Roll Remember these rolls? Well I sure do! In fact, they were a big part of my childhood growing up. My absolute favorite was the Cherry Sweet Rolls, but my parents preferred the Cinnamon Rolls, so that's what they bought 90% of the time. Mind you, I would never complain about eating the cinnamon rolls if they were in front of me. I remember my Mom putting these out for people she would invite over for coffee, or for visitors after dinner. On weekends, my Dad would get up early to buy a newspaper, and would bring these home for us as a snack before breakfast. That was a weekend tradition I carried on after I started my own family. Cookie Crisp Cereal Mascots Through the Years: Nostalgia for 70s, 80s & 90s Fans

Theretrodad.com experienced a huge bump in site traffic during the month of July. Upon checking my site stats, I saw massive amounts of Google searches for 'Cookie-Crisp' that were directing viewers to an older Cookie Crisp article I wrote. Therefore, I decided to dust off that old article, and add some more in depth history about the cereal, as well as the mascots we've seen over the years. Ah, Cookie Crisp Cereal. What a sneaky way to get kids to eat their breakfast! Not to mention an equally sneaky way to trigger me into late night snacking. I can't even begin to count the bowls of Cookie Crisp I ate while watching late night TV, or while working on blogs and web-sites late into the night.
