October is National Pizza Month

Happy National Pizza Month friends. I love National Pizza month, and as a result, the blog may have a wee bit more pizza related content this month.

Honestly, I'll use any excuse to eat more pizza, and National Pizza Month is the perfect excuse to do so! I'll be posting a few reviews and will try to put a retro spin on the content whenever I can.

Retro Review: Irish Spring vs. Zest — Which Classic Bar Soap Still Reigns Supreme? (2025 Update)

If you grew up in the 70s, 80s, or even the 90s, you probably remember the same two bar soaps sitting on just about everyone’s bathroom counter: Irish Spring and Zest . Signing off for awhile

I thought 2024 was a heck of a year. 2025 didn’t let up, even this close to the new year. Today, on December 24, 2025, the woman who loved me more than any other woman in my life passed away. That woman was my mother. It was completely unexpected, and a shock to everyone. I know myself well enough to realize my creativity will be empty for a while. When something like this happens, I need to step back, take a minute. These things happen more often than we like to admit. I’ve known many people this year who lost parents, partners, loved ones. Heads go down, life keeps moving, somehow we carry on. In the end, it hurts, we sometimes wonder why we’re still here when they’re gone, but we keep living for them. That’s the plan at least.
